Terms of Service

1. What ColdOpen is
ColdOpen (“the Service”) is a browser-based tool that generates cold-email opening lines from lead data you provide, using an AI provider account (OpenAI or Anthropic) that you supply. The Service is operated as a sole proprietorship (“we”, “us”). By using the Service you agree to these terms.
2. Your AI provider key
The Service requires your own API key. The key is stored only in your browser's local storage and is transmitted only to your chosen AI provider, never to our servers. You are responsible for the key, for the charges your provider bills you, and for complying with your provider's terms of use.
3. Free tier and license
The Service includes 10 free generated lines per browser. A one-time payment of $19 (USD) unlocks unlimited generation for one person. The license key is delivered by email after purchase, is tied to your email address, and may be used on the devices you personally use. It may not be resold or shared publicly.
4. Refunds
If you are not satisfied, email us within 14 days of purchase and we will refund the full $19. Refunds are processed through the original payment method.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to use the generated content in compliance with applicable law, including anti-spam legislation (such as CAN-SPAM, GDPR and the ePrivacy rules) in the jurisdictions you send email to. You are solely responsible for how, and to whom, you send outreach. You may not use the Service to generate content that is unlawful, deceptive or harassing.
6. Output
You own the lines generated from your data, to the extent permitted by your AI provider's terms. AI output can be inaccurate — review lines before sending. We make no promises about reply rates or business results.
7. Disclaimer and liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for it ($19).
8. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
